Clinical trial 101

Ashley Pattammady: I collaborated on creating a two-episode series called “Clinical Trials 101” that covers the different phases of clinical trials, their role in the emergency authorization of COVID-19 vaccines, and their significance in public health. As a first-time podcaster, it was surely a new and creative learning experience.

My role in this project was finding research materials on clinical trials and giving the big background picture of what it’s all about and how it works. The inspiration for this topic was my personal interest in clinical research and drug development. As Esmeralda also had a background in biology, she was also excited to do this topic as well.
